F. Heemsbergen Dies Tuesday; Rites Thursday

GALESBURG – Francis Heemsbergen, 78, of Rt. 1, Reasnor, a resident of the Galesburg community and former resident of the Prairie City community, died this morning at the Embassy Manor Care Center in Newton.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home in Newotn.

The Rev Ray Barnett, pastor of the Newton First Christian Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Hewitt Cemetery, east of Reasnor.

Friends may call at the Toldand-wallace Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Survivors are his wife, Luella; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and three sisters.

The son of Richard and Elizabeth Van Voorst Heemsbergen, he was born Nov. 25, 1899 in The Netherlands.

He was married to Luella De Bruyn Feb. 21, 1928 at Newton. ~ Newspaper unknown, possibly The Newton Daily News, Tues 21 Feb 1978.
