Pennell, Phyllis Cozad 84, of Chesterfield MO passed in her sleep Oct 25. Phyllis, who struggled with Alzheimer's, joins her parents, Hazel & Cleland Cozad, brother, Jack Cozad, & cousin, Shirley Buckley.

She is survived by: her devoted husband of 65 years, Robert (Bob); her 3 children, Dr. Richard Pennell (Chris), Debra Palmer (Pat), & Robert Pennell (Anne); 8 grandchildren, Jason, Ryan, Jennifer, Christopher, PJ, Lauren, Kathryn & Sarah; & 3 great grandchildren, Tamara, Corinne & Kylie.

Family was very important to Phyllis and she felt truly blessed that all her children lived in St. Louis. She loved spending time with her family and was the ultimate hostess. Phyllis would drop everything without hesitation to help others. She was a vibrant loving wife, mother, and friend.

Services: A service celebrating her life with a reception immediately following will be held Nov 7 at 10 a.m. at Salem in Ladue United Methodist Church, 1200 S Lindbergh where we'll imagine Phyllis saying isn't this fun? Phyllis donated her body to SLU. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Ass'n at www.alz.org
