Jeanne E. Lundberg, 63, of Newton died on Friday, October 23, 2015, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, October 29, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will greet friends from 12 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorials in Jeanne’s name may be left at the funeral home.

Jeanne, the daughter of Franklin C. and Beverly Pellett, was born on October 4, 1952 in Carroll. She spent her childhood between Iowa and Oregon, before the family settled in Newton at the age of 8. As a child she was active in 4-H. Jeanne graduated from Newton High School in 1971. On November 14, 1976, Jeanne was united in marriage with Carl Eugene Lundberg at the Metz Church in rural Newton. They were blessed with two children, Minnie and Leonard, before Carl’s death in 1982. Along with being a homemaker, Jeanne worked at Family Dollar and at Jasper County Elderly Nutrition. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, taking care of people, and going to the Iowa State Fair. She was a loving and devoted mother.

Those left to honor Jeanne’s memory are her children, Minnie Lundberg of Phoenix, Arizona and Leonard Lundberg of Newton; siblings, Flint (Nancy Jane) Pellett of Urbana, Illinois, Dirk Pellett of California, Kay (Will) Eberhart of Melvin, Illinois, Brant Pellett of Lewisville, Texas, and Chert Pellett of Highland Village, Texas; and her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
