Donald Gene Paget, 87, of Bettendorf,IA, passed away on October 23, 2015, at Heartland Healthcare in Moline. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at 12:00 p.m. at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the mortuary. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting www.rungemortuary.com. Donald was born on June 2, 1928, in Newton, Iowa, a son of Paul and Hazel (Snook) Paget. He married Evelyn Jackson on February 17, 1946, in Bettendorf.

During his working years, Donald was plant supervisor for Taylor & Company prior to joining in business with his brother, Bob, at Paget Equipment in Wisconsin. Donald had been involved with several churches, as both a Sunday school teacher, and as a past deacon. In addition, he and Evelyn volunteered with MAPPS, helping build churches through the Assembly of God. Donald also had a love of fishing.

Donald will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 69 years, Evelyn; his children, Linda Clemons Christensen, Ron Paget, Rick (Linda) Paget, Penni (Phil) Snyder; sister Sandra (Jerry) Hice; brothers, Paul (Creta) Paget, Wesley (Evelyn) Paget; thirteen grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Keith; brothers, Clarence, Robert, Harold, and Jack; and sisters, Helen Paget and Dorothy Bayse. ~ The Des Moines Register, Des Moines, Iowa 26 Oct 2015.
