January 28, 1936 - October 26, 2015

Harold Adams, age 79 of Prairie City, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2015, at Trinity Center at Luther Park in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Prairie City United Methodist Church, with burial following at Waveland Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City. The family will greet friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Prairie City Ambulance Fund and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com

The son of Edwin Harold and Bernice (Nornholm) Adams, Harold was born on January 28, 1936, in Johnston, Iowa. He graduated from Johnston High School. On December 27, 1958, he was united in marriage to Jo Thompson. Harold served in the United States Navy. He farmed in the area most of his life. Harold was a member of the Prairie City United Methodist Church and enjoyed woodworking.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Jo; three sons, Mike (Jo) Adams of Prairie City, Dan (Angelique) Adams of Prairie City and Tom (Cindy) Adams of Des Moines; six grandchildren; a great grandson and a sister, Jan Gross of Des Moines.
