Obituary of Keith Schwartz Keith, 86, of Reasnor, passed from this life on Sunday morning, October 11, 2015, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Keith E. Schwartz, was born September 25, 1929, in Newton, the son of Roy Elmer and Clara Josephine (Johnson) Schwartz. He attended Reasnor schools, and was a graduate of the Newton Senior High, Class of 1947. Keith served his country with the US Army Signal Core, during the Korean Conflict.

On May 16, 1950, Keith was united in marriage with Alice “Marilyn” Brown in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. For over sixty years he was self-employed as a carpenter and had built many homes.

Keith was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, he will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. He was a member of the Reasnor First United Methodist Church, and later attended the Community Heights Alliance Church in Newton. He also served on the Reasnor Telephone Board, the Reasnor City Council for forty years and the Reasnor Volunteer Fire Department.

Keith is survived by his wife Marilyn; his daughters: Linda Kay (Curt) Brown of Monroe and Janet Lou (John) Graham of Des Moines; his four grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother Kenneth Schwartz and a sister Verle G. Paul.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2015, at the Community Heights Alliance Church. A time of Remembrance and memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. at the church, with burial at Newton Memorial Park Cemetery. Pence – Reese Funeral Home in Newton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
