William F. "Bill" Hickey, 66, son of William & Doris (Klingaman) Hickey, was born November 4, 1948 in Newton, Iowa. He passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines with his love ones at his side after a painful illness with cancer.

Bill graduated from Newton High School, where he took part in wrestling. Bill worked with and for Des Moines area auto dealerships. He began with the Moyers and retired with Wes Jordan on the Auto Mile in 2007. A true salesman. In the 1970's, friends will remember him at his Yamaha World Cycle dealership, bringing the business to #3 in the nation in the early 1980's.Bill loved his family, friends, NASCAR, fishing, the Chicago Bears, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and reconnecting with golf.

Bill is survived by his love of his life of 14 years, Rocky of Panora; son, Todd (Cris) Hickey of Carlisle; daughter, Ginger (Dave) Clark of West Des Moines; grandchildren, Cole & Natalie Clark; sister, Diana Diehm of Des Moines; brothers, Dennis Hickey of Newton and Mike (Sally) Fahrney of Las Vegas; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Mike Diehm.
