Laura Mae (Hendee) Annis, age 96 of Round Rock, Texas, formerly of Colfax, Iowa, passed away Monday, September 7, 2015. Funeral Services for Ms. Annis will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Howard Street Christian Church of Colfax with burial following at Colfax Cemetery. Visitation for Ms. Annis will be held on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Coburn Funeral Home of Colfax from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. with family present.

Laura was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother and will be missed deeply by family and friends. Laura loved spending time with family, cooking, dancing, playing games and of course, her puzzle books. Daughter of Clyde and Julia Hendee, Laura was born on September 25, 1918 in Colfax, Iowa. She was a graduate of Colfax Community School in 1936. She worked at various jobs including the Variety Store, Francis Pratt's Flower and Gift Shop in Colfax, and later the Maytag Factory office. She was also a homemaker. She married Frank Annis in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who served and was in the Navy at the time. From this union, two children were born, daughter Sharon Brashear of Round Rock, Texas and son Bill Annis of Colfax, Iowa.

Those left to honor her memory include Sharon and Bill (Connie); four grandchildren Tammy (Mark) O'Hollearn and children Brooke, Dylan and Ben; Raquel (Craig) Jarrard and children Cole and Carson; Scott (Laura) Brashear and children Jake and Jenna; Kari (Jerry) Hamilton and children Peyton and Chase.

Laura was preceded in death by husband Frank, parents Clyde and Julia Hendee and her 3 brothers Bob, Bill and Dick.
