Kayleen Bucklin, 76 of Baxter passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the Evangelical Free Chruch in Baxter from 9-11 a.m. Following the visitation the memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. at the Church with Bob Coulson officiating. Burial in Restland Cemetery in Baxter will be held at a later date.

Kayleen was born on June 17, 1939 in Baxter to Francis and Imogene (McKeever) Loupee. At the age of 5 she began playing the piano and various other instruments. She attended Baxter High School. Following school she married the love of her life, Eugene "Gene" Bucklin on April 30, 1956 at Bethany United Church of Christ in Baxter. The young couple traveled all over singing and preaching the word of God. They pastored in several states across the Midwest. They returned home to Baxter and Gene became the pastor at the Evangelical Free Church in Baxter. Gene and Kayleen had remained pastoring there for the past 27 years. She always worked very hard helping with the pastoral duties and continued to play the piano and sing at all of the church functions for the last 50 years. She was very talented and had a great love for her family, music, and the Lord. Kayleen and Gene's relationship was very special and the couple never spent more than 4 days apart in 59 years.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 59 years Gene of Baxter; children Robin (Sue) Bucklin of Sully, IA, Kelly (Melody) Bucklin of Fargo, ND, and Wendy (Randy) Wooldridge of Knoxville, IA; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother Jerry (Bonnie) Loupee; and sister Karon Smyth.

Kayleen was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
