Those left to honor Marge’s memory are her sons, Bill (Bette) Nelson of Thornton, Colorado and Larry (Becky) Nelson of Newton; four grandchildren, Braedi (Dan) Tagart of Thornton, Colorado, Brian (Lesli) Nelson of Forsyth, Georgia, Scott Nelson of West Des Moines and Laura Nelson of Altoona; her seven great-grandchildren, Olivia, Will, Anna, Elle, Ava, Mac and Kate; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Fred on February 15, 2015.

Marjorie was a graduate of Newton High School in 1946.

Marge was a member of the First United Methodist Church and had been a member of a ladies church circle, Cub Scout Leader, Newton Booster Club and the Newton Alumni Association.

Marge loved being with family. She followed her sons and grandchildren in every sporting event they participated in. She also went to horse show and sales with her husband, Fred.
