Pamela Kay Smith, age 58 of Newton, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015, at her home in Newton. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax with burial following at McKeever Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com

The daughter of Kermit William and Hazel A. (Sager) Wickett, Pam was born on August 19, 1956, in Iowa City. She was united in marriage to Douglas E. Maahs in May of 1977. Pam attended the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax. She enjoyed crocheting knitting but most of all spending time with her four grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Kelly Maahs of Colfax, Chris Maahs of Mitchellville, and Susie (Dan) Schoettmer of Newton; four grandchildren, Justen Maahs, Seth Martin, Mikey Ryan, and Gabby Maahs. Also surviving are her siblings, Tom (Tammy) Wickett of Colfax, Vicki (Rick) Butler of Exline, Iowa and Robert Douglas Jones of Mitchellville along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Douglas and two brothers, Richard Jones and Terry Wickett. ~ The Coburn Funeral Home, Colfax, Iowa 28 Jun 2015.
