Sadie Simpson Dies, Services To Be Wednesday

Mrs. Horace Orley (Sadie Mae) Simpson, 84, of Clear View Manor in Prairie City, died Sunday at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bybee and Davis Funeral Home at Knoxville.

Elder Arthur Nichols, pastor of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Dunreath Cemetery, southwest of Monroe.

Survivors are four sons, DeVeer of Prairie City, Clifford of Des Moines, and Ernest and Melvin, both of Monroe; a daughter Mrs. Rolland (Beryl) Kinnart of Monroe, 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, and three sons.

Mrs. Simpson, a longtime resident of Marion County, was member of the Christian Church.

The daughter of William and Edmona Rinehart Koons, she was born Sept 8, 1894 near Percy.

She was married Aug 5, 1924 in Knoxville.
