Jordyn Lynn Arndt, 4, of Prairie City passed away on Tuesday, Aril 23, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the Prairie City United Methodist Church with burial following at Waveland Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Friday, April 26, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church.

The daughter of Jason Arndt and Jessica (Tuinstra) Arndt, Jordyn was born on Nov. 24, 2008, in Pella, Iowa. Jordyn was in the preschool at the Prairie City Elementary. Jordyn was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. Jordyn loved being outdoors, catching bugs or picking flowers. She could be a girlie girl or one of the boys. She also would spend many ours playing house with her dolls.

Those left to honor her memory include her parents, Jessica Arndt and her fiancé Aaron Chirch of Prairie City and Jason Arndt and his fiancé Amber Hallmann of Des Moines; a sister, Kelsey Rae Arndt of Des Moines; a brother, Aden Arndt of Prairie City; two step-sisters, Kylie Creason of Des Moines and Chloe Chirch of Prairie City; a step-brother, Ethan Chirch of Prairie City; and her grandparents, Reverend Dennis (Joyce) Arndt of Wilton, Donald Tuinstra of Prairie City and Virginia (Terry) McCuen of Monroe.

Preceding Jordyn in death were her grandfather, Joel Pralle, and her great-grandparents, Ivan and Elfrieda Pralle, Raymond Elam and Mary Maskey. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Thurs 25 Apr 2013.
