Death Claims Mrs. C. E. Cragen
Had Been Ailing Only a Few Weeks
End Came as a Shock to Friends here where she had lived for over 30 years.
The death of Mrs. C. E. Cragen, Monday, July 3rd came as a shock to the people of the community of Jasper County. While she had been suffering with heart trouble for several weeks, she apparently seemed to be getting better until Thursday when she suffered a stroke of paralysis.
Mrs. Cragan was prominent in church and club work in the city she will be greatly missed in her circles.
Florencia T. Cragan
Florencia Goodell was born 1862 in Indiana and passed away at her home in Colfax, Iowa on the 3rd day of July, 1922.
She was united in marriage to C. E. Cragan on September 3, 1890 at Walnut, Illinois. Since their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Cragan have made Colfax their home; and here they have spent the greater part of the thirty years of their happy companionship. At the time of her death Mrs. Cragan was an active member of the Presbyterian Church of this city in the last days of her illness confident testimony to the (missing words) of her trust in her Lord and Savior.
She is survived by her Brother, C. M Goodell; Rhoda Boucher, both or Oregon, a niece, Virginia. The rest of this obituary is torn off. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa 9 July 1922.
