BAXTER, Ia. – Lester Heberer, 78, of Baxter died of cancer Saturday at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home, where he was a resident. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax, with burial at Graham Cemetery in Mingo.Mr. Heberer was born in Mingo, where he spent most of his life until moving to Baxter. He was a retired farmer.

Lester HebererMINGO - Funeral services for Lester Heberer, 78, of Mingo, a lifelong resident of the Mingo area, were held today, Jan. 7, at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
The Rev. Karen Nichols-Dungan, pastor of the Mingo United Methodist Church, conducted services and burial was in Graham Cemetery, north of Mingo.
Mr. Heberer died Saturday morning at Colonial Manor in Baxter.
Survivors are two nieces and two nephews.
Mr. Heberer was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
The son of George and Ethel Seiders Heberer, he was born June 1, 1912 at Mingo.
