Allen "Buzz" Rand age 74 of Valeria, died Friday, August 17, 2012, at Mitchell Village Care Center in Mitchellville. Graveside memorial services will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at McKeever Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the Allan Rand Memorial Fund and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.

The son of Melvin and Alice Rand, Allan was born on September 12, 1937, in Park Rapids, Minnesota.

Survivors include his son, Jimmy Martin and his wife Lorena of Polk City; two grandchildren, Ashlee and Aimee Martin and his siblings, Carol Clark of Texas, Chuck (Betty) Rand of Minnesota, Nancy (Joel) Kolake, Betty (Don) Rennenverg of Minnesota, Mike (Rockanna) Rand of Montana and Melvin Rand of Florida.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife Karen in 2011, and a brother Raymond. ~ The Coburn Funeral Home, Colfax, Iowa 17 Aug, 2012.
