Newton Man Killed by Train

Jesse Boyd, of Newton, was found by trainmen early Monday morning along the railroad right of way, where it is believe he was struck by the midnight train Sunday night.

Mr. Boyd was born near Colfax, Feb. 21, 1873 and moved to Newton in 1912. He is survived by his divorced wife and four children.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Morgan Funeral Home in Newton and burial in McKeever Cemetery. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Thurs 28 Sept 1936
