Burial services were held for Mrs. James Smith at Collins cemetery last Monday. Mrs. Smith died at Hudson, Colo., Oct. 1, 1931, age 81 years. She was the mother of seven children, two sons Sydney and Dillon survive and cared for her in her last years. She leaves seven grandchildren.

Her husband, Rev. James Smith, who died several years ago, has one brother, David Smith of Collins and one sister, Mrs. Elsforth Gibson of Maxwell. All lived here and are well know to older folks. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Thurs 8 Oct 1931.
