Carl C. Webb of Baxter Dies

Carl C. Webb, 61, well known Baxter insurance man died unexpectedly Friday night a few hours after suffering a heart attack.

Mr. Webb was known throughout Jasper County, having been in the insurance business at Baxter for 40 years, and ever prominent in community, county, state and national affairs. He served Baxter 25 years as clerk and postmaster 8 years.

Mrs. George Pease of Colfax is a sister of Mr. Webb, and besides his wife, and Mrs. Pease, he is survived by several other brothers and sisters. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Thurs Sept 10, 1931.
