Ronnald W. Farland, 73, passed away April 15, 2013 in Sacramento, Calif.

Ronn was born in Newton on Dec. 8, 1939, to Harold and Hazel Farland. He graduated from Newton Senior High School in 1958.

Ronn is survived by his son, Christian (Stephanie) Farland and granddaughter Ysabela of Sacramento; sisters Marjorie Kilburn of West Union, Alberta Doane and Marilyn Greene; brother James (Edna) Farland of Newton, in-laws Nina Farland of Cedar Rapids, Billie Farland, Robert Thorson of Newton and Donna Farland of Waukee as well as many nieces and nephews.

Ronn was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Wayne, Delbert and Clifford Farland, LaVonne Thorson and Jean Dillin.

Memorial services were held April 26, 2013 in Sacramento, Calif. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa 1 May 2013.
