Services for Lula May Olivier were held at Desert View Chapel in Mesa, Arizona on April 8, 2000. Entombment was in Mtn. View Gardens East of Mesa.
Lula May Olivier, 82, of Cottonwood, Arizona, died April 5, 2000, at Rio Verde Health Center in Cottonwood.
She was born in Draper, Iowa on June 23, 1918. She attended school in Monroe and married her husband, John P. Olivier in 1935. Her husband, John of 65 years preceded her in death in May of 1999. Also preceding her in death was her son, Robert D. Olivier, grandson Richard Wakefield, one sister and one brother.
She is survived by her daughter, JoAnna Wakefield, son Ronald Olivier and 2 sisters, Ruth Cochrane and Frances Leeper, both of Phoenix; 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
In her early married life, she was a homemaker. Then in 1952 they moved to Arizona from Iowa for her daughter’s health. They bought and operated Star Market in Apache Jct. for many years. In 1972 they moved to Flagstaff and became partners in Flagstaff Cinder Sales, Inc. with their twin sons, Robert and Ronald. Twenty years ago she retired and moved to Cottonwood. She attended the Assembly of God Church.
