Vonda Lee Williams, 77, died July 3, 2013 at Taylor House in Des Moines. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 8 at First Baptist Church in Colfax with burial at McKeever Cemetery. Her family will greet friends from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, at the church.

Vonda Lee Kay Warrick, daughter of Roy and Gertrude (Pierce) Warrick, was born July 12, 1935 on a farm outside of Colfax. She was a graduate of Mingo High School. Vonda Lee was united in marriage with Walter Lee Williams on February 27, 1954 in Colfax. She was a homemaker for many years, and owned Colfax Cleaners with Walt for 21 years. Vonda Lee was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church, serving as a longtime Sunday School teacher, deaconess, youth leader, historian and many other roles through the years. Vonda Lee loved her kids, grandkids, and living on the farm.

Vonda Lee was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walt; and her granddaughter, Anna Marie Williams.

Vonda Lee is survived by her children: Kevin (Belinda) Williams of Gladbrook, Karl (Kristy) Williams of Carlisle and Vana (Monty) Beals of Colfax; grandchildren: Seth (Kristin), Sean (Heidi), Shannon, Jessica, Rebecca, and Jacob Williams, Danae (Brandon) Woebbeking and Danielle Beals; great-grandchildren: Sydney, Tate and Turner; her siblings: Keith (Mona) Warrick of Colfax and Joy (Joe) Conley of Colfax; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jay (Bonnie) Hoogenakker of Urbandale.
