Funeral services for Reggie will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 19th at the First United Methodist Church in Newton.

The family will greet friends Monday evening from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be designated in Reggie's name to help his kids with future expenses. ~ The Pence Reese Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa 9 May 2015.

Reggie L. Hodge, the son of James Edward and Carol LaVonne (Porter) Hodge, was born October 13, 1964 in Newton, Iowa. He graduated from the Newton Senior High School with the class of 1983. He went on to receive a degree in accounting and then his Tool and Die certification.

On May 4, 1991, Reggie was united in marriage with Julie Kay Kool at the First United Methodist Church in Newton, Iowa. Reggie worked for the Maytag Company in Newton and John Deere in Ankeny in the Tool and Die Department. He was a member of the UAW Local 997. Reggie enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, and shop work. He was known as an easy going, family man.Reggie died on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at his home in Newton. He was 50 years old.

Reggie was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Julie Hodge; his brothers, Danny Hodge and Jeff Hodge in infancy.

Those left to honor Reggie’s memory include his son, Brandon Hodge of Newton; his daughter, Kaci Hodge of Newton; his brother, Jim Hodge of Newton; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Sharon Kool of Newton.
