Charlotte Marie Williams-Shepley, age 69 of Colfax, died Sunday, January 20, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Colfax. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family and condolences may be left at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.

The daughter of James Edward and Geneva Elizabeth (Broyles) Williams, Charlotte was born on May 26, 1943, in Milan, Missouri. On April 4, 1960, she was united in marriage to Orville Donald Shepley in Knoxville. Charlotte enjoyed collecting many things, especially Santa Clause's. She enjoyed fishing, camping but most of all was giving to her family and friends.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Donald; four children, Sandra Shepley of Colfax, Donna (Bart) Bucklin of Des Moines, Donald Shepley of Colfax and Hazel (James Smalley) Shepley of Newton; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren; a brother James Williams of Kansas City; a sister, Nora (Rick) Whiteley of Kansas City and nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, a daughter-in-law, Valarie Shepley, and two sisters-in-law, Sally Shepley and Brosha Williams. ~ Coburn Funeral home website at http://www.coburnfuneralhomes.com/
