Argie Edward Hall, 82, died Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at Kavanagh House on 56th Street. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 29 at Federated Church of Bondurant, with burial at Graham Cemetery in Mingo.

Argie was born November 27, 1921 in Farrar, Iowa. During WWII, his Naval unit was involved with the D-Day Normandy Invasion and had been engaged in several other battles throughout the war. Argie retired as a merchandiser for Agri-Industries and was a member of the Federate Church of Bondurant, where he served as church deacon. He also served as past president and chaplain of The Air-Stream Club of Iowa and past president of the Bondurant Farrar School Board.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine Hall of Ankeny; children, Ward Hall (Linda) of Ft. Wayne, IN, Linn Korsgaard of Knoxville, TN, and Barbara Frederiksen (Mark) of Omaha, NE; nine grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Rippey of Mingo and Alice Korhs of Cabot, AR; and brothers, Loyd Hall and LeRoy Hall, both of Aldridge, MO.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Altoona Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Federated Church of Bondurant Building Fund. ~ The Des Moines Register, Des Moines, IA 24 Jun 2004.
