Bernita Martin Boyts (1936 - 2015)

Bernita Martin Boyts passed away on March 13, 2015. She was born to Bill and Dorothy Martin, Wellman, IA, on March 26, 1936. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Harold Boyts, and 3 children: Michelle Boyts, Louisburg, KS; Michael Boyts, (Cindy Hoedel), Matfield Green, KS; and Rick Boyts, (Mary), Fort Collins, CO; two grandchildren, Nicholas Boyts and Marie Claire Boyts and their mother, Catherine Boyts, Lenexa, KS. She also leaves: sisters, Carol (Ray) Bontrager, So. Hutchinson, KS, and Cheryl Martin Miller (Wendell), Iowa City, IA; a brother, Gary Martin, (Mary), Newton, IA, and a sister-in-law, Joyce Hardy, Ottumwa, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Larry Martin. Friends are invited Saturday afternoon, March 21, at 2:30 p.m., to visit with Bernita's family and others at the Dyck Arboretum's Visitor Center, followed by a meal and birthday cake at 4:00 p.m. in the Arboretum's Pavilion. Memorials may be sent to the Youth Programs at Hesston Mennonite Church or the Whitmore Playground in care of the Rainbow Mennonite Church, Kansas City, KS, all in care of Miller - Ott Funeral Home, Hesston.
