Russell Plummer, 49, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015. He was born August 16, 1965 in Des Moines, Iowa. Russell lived his life in Runnells, Iowa and graduated from Prairie City High School in 1984. A short time after graduation he was in a 3 wheel accident which left him with a severe head injury. Russell lived with his parents until 2000, when he was moved to Careage of Newton Care Center. Russell enjoyed life by camping, car races, fishing, playing cards and working puzzles. Despite the circumstances he always had a smile for everyone.

He is survived by his parents, Frank and Judy Rains; brothers and sisters, Becky (Mike) Uding, Dean (Pam) Rickabaugh, Michelle (Andy) Gennarelli, and Michael (Tina) Rains; his many nieces and nephews; and grandfather, John Rains.

Preceding him in death was his father, Robert Plummer; grandparents, Gerald and Mayme Plummer, Robert and Delores Pepper and Marie Rains.

Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 16, 2015 at Rising Sun Church of Christ in Pleasant Hill. He will be laid to rest at Laurel Hill Cemetery.Condolences may be expressed at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com. ~ The Des Moines Register Legacy, Des Moines, Iowa 16 Mar 2015.
