Funeral services were conducted at the Walters Funeral Home in Prairie City, Iowa, Tuesday, October 31, for Daniel Lyman Stewart, 78, who passed away at his home in Runnells on Sunday, October 29th. Rev. Charles Palmer officiated.
Hymns sung by soloist Morris Keeney were “Beyond the Sunset”, and “Rock of Ages.” Mrs. Keeney accompanied on the piano.

Bearers were Murrell Bowen, Robert Bowen, Wesley Catron, Leonard Prindle, Bennie Tyler and Vinton Ward. Interment was made in the Colfax cemetery.
Daniel Lyman Stewart, son of Charles and Mary Stewart, was born August 22, 1872, in Monroe County, and departed this life October 29, 1950 at the age of 78 years.

At the age of 26 he moved to Jasper County where he was engaged in mining and farming. At this time he made his home with his uncle, Mr. William Ward. After the death of his uncle he made his home with his cousin, Mrs. Tom Rudloff, where he passed away.

He leaves to mourn his passing his sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Bowen of Prairie City, Mrs. Tom Rudloff, with whom he stayed, other nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
