Bonnie Ruth (Borts) Good, age 79 of Colfax, died Thursday, May 2, 2013, at her home. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Howard Street Christian Church, with burial following at Colfax Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Bonnie Good Memorial Fund and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.

The daughter of Dave Borts Sr. and Esther (Patterson) Borts, Bonnie was born on March 21, 1934, in Jasper County, Iowa. Bonnie attended the school in Valeria.

On March 11, 1951, she was united in marriage to Jack Layton Good in Colfax. Bonnie was a lifelong resident of Colfax.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Jeanette Faith (Russell) Boyd and Jacqueline Louise Wilty; five grandchildren, Kellie (John) Moore of Michigan, Karrie (Eric) Van Ham of Michigan, Russell (LeeAnn) Boyd III of Michigan, Scott Allen Wilty and Rachel Krause of Colfax and Amy Jo (Todd) Warner of Fruitland, Idaho; a niece, Evelyne Ahnen of Earlham, Iowa; 12 great grand children, Autumn, Kaylee and Braden Van Ham, Mikayla and Zayne Moore, Jack Wilty, Chase, Ki, and Keagan Warner, and Makenzie, Madilyn and Camden Boyd; as well as a sister, Opal Marie Bos.

Preceding Bonnie in death were her parents, husband, Jack; a son, John Michael Good and eleven brothers and sisters, Esther Owens, Jack Borts, James Borts, Francis Borts, Sr. Beverly Jean Smith, Marjorie Ellen Gorman, Henry Borts, Dave Borts, Jr., Billy Dean Borts, Jerry Borts and Sharon Borts. ~ The Coburn Funeral Home, Colfax, Iowa 2 May 2013.
