Darlene Meeks, age 75 of Colfax, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at her home. Graveside services will be held later this spring. A notice will be published at that time. The daughter of Merrill and Irene (Maher) Gibson, Darlene was born on November 5, 1939, in Newton. On May 23, 1964, she was united in marriage to Harold "Dean" Meeks at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Those left to honor her memory include her son, Mike Meeks and a grandson, Dalton Meeks.
