LIZZIE BARNES-funeral services for Miss Lizzie B. Barnes of near Tool's Chapel, who died at her home Wednesday night, June 22, 1932.
She is the daughter of Hodgen and Mary Ann Barnes and was born near Pittsburgh, PA., and died Wednesday night at 12:00.
Funeral services were held at the home at 10:00 Saturday morning with Rev. R.J. Armes of Wapello, a former pastor, in charge. The pallbearers were her two brothers, Frank and Howard Barnes; Ralph & Clifford Woody, and Pat Metcalf, and W.A. McConeghey.
The music was furnished by Mrs. Mary Dykstra, Mrs. Flossie Woody, Mr. & Mrs. Neil McKee and Chris Vander Pol with Mrs. Bert Vaughn at the organ.
Miss Barnes was a member of the M.E.Chruch at Tool's Chapel, joining in her girlhood. She has been in poor health for several years and has been preceded in death by her father, mother and sister, Jennie.
She is survived by her sisters; Mrs. Morgan Woody of near Reasnor, Mrs. Emma Tool at home; two brothers, Frank Barnes of Tool's Chapel and Howard Barnes of Monroe and other near relatives, Huldah and Ralph Woody, Mr. & Mrs. Clifford Woody, Mr. & Mrs. Pat Metcalf of Reasnor, Mrs. Merrel Woody and children of Des Moines.
Burial was made in the Monroe cemetery.
