Mrs. Shelby Wall Dies Yesterday
Services to Be Held Tomorrow Afternoon
At Morgan Funeral Home.

Mrs. Shelby Wall died at 3:12 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Grover Evans at 613 South Second Avenue West after a prolonged illness with heart disease. She was 66 years of age.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Morgan Funeral home with Dr. George C. Williams in charge. Burial will be in the Sugar Grove cemetery.

Mrs. Wall was born in Illinois on Dec. 25, 1863 and was the daughter of Charles Thompson and Martha Chapman Thompson. She has made her home in Iowa for the past 50 years, coming to Newton about 12 years previous to her death. For a number of years she made her home on a farm near Lynnville.

She is survived by her husband, by two brothers, Harry Thompson of Newton and Leonard Thompson of Estherville, by one daughter, Mrs. Grover Evans, two sons, Roy and Cleo of Colfax, one sister, Mrs. Hattie Jacobs of West Bend, Ia., and by five half sisters, four of whom reside in Kansas and the other, Mrs. Lloyd Bowen of Des Moines and by one half brother, Fay Thompson of Newton. ~ The Newton Daily News, April 23, 1930.
