Robert K. Lackey, 78, passed away on November 09, 2014 at Kavanaugh House in Des Moines, IA. A private graveside service will be held at Union Cemetery in Newton, IA at a later date. Robert obtained a Bachelors in Business from Drake University. He later received his CPA. For most of his career he was an Insurance Sales Agent for Farmers Insurance.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth G. Lackey and Violet Meline. Robert is survived by his children, Steven (Barbara) Lackey of Vernon Hills, IL, Scott Lackey of Burnsville, MN; his grandchildren, Allison and Jessica Lackey; his sister, Betty (Tom) Breckenridge of Newton, IA; his former wife and friend, Sherry DeHaven; his partner, Pamela Whitmore; along with a host of extended family and friends.
