Peggy Hesson Vance, of Davenport, died Oct. 11, 2014, at Clarrisa Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. A service took place Oct. 16 in Davenport.

Peggy was born Jan. 7, 1946, at Skiff Memorial Hospital to Max and Elsie (Cooper) Hesson. She was a graduate of Newton Community High School and Scott Community College, Bettendorf. She worked for many years as an LPN at Skiff Hospital, Mercy Hospital, Davenport and Vera French Mental Health Center, Davenport.

Survivors are her husband Robert Vance of Davenport; son John Vance of Kansas City, Kan.; daughter Laura Carlson and grandchildren Colby and Jenna Carlson of Davenport; sister Sandra Holdt of Davenport; brothers Steve Hesson of Newton and Tim Hesson of Rowlette, Texas.

Preceding Peggy in death were grandparents; parents; and brother Ben J. Hesson. May they rest in peace. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa 10 Nov 2014.
