Shirley D. (Lambert) Bird

Shirley D. (Lambert) Bird, 64, of Newton, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton. As per Shirley’s wishes she has been cremated and private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials in Shirley’s name for the family may be left at the funeral home. Memorials may also be mailed to the funeral home, please add, Attn: Bird Family on the envelope.

Those left to honor Shirley’s memory are her husband, Jerry of Newton; three children, Sarah M. Bird of Wichita, Kan., Jerry E. “JJ” Bird, Jr. of Newton and Jimmy E. Bird of Newton; her two grandchildren, Brecken Bogner and Tanner Bird; sister, Jean Guy of Newton; brother, Ron (Evelyn) Lambert of Des Moines; brother-in-law, Gary Bird of Newton; and sister-in-law, Cindy (Duane) Van Zante of Knoxville.
