Iowa, USAWord was received of the death of Mrs. Fred R. (Blanche) Gilmore, Sunday, February 21, 1982, at the Embassy Manor Care Center in Newton, Iowa.
Mrs. Gilmore was born April 19, 1900, at Houston, the daughter of John H. and Elizabeth Hinsley Baker.
She was married October 4, 1922, in Texas County and had made her home in Newton for the past 56 years.
Survivors include three daughters, Donna Russell of Newton, Iowa; Helen DeNato of Elberton, Iowa; and Beverly Bird of Burlington, Iowa; two brothers, Delos Baker and Claude Baker of Des Moines, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. Margie Messman of Newton, Iowa; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 23, with burial in the Newton Union Cemetery.
