Virginia "Gin" Richardson, 12-19-29 to 10-10-2014. She made her transition, October 10, 2014 at her Sun City, Arizona home in the care of her longtime friend and Hospice of the Valley.

Born in Newton, Iowa on December 19, 1928, Gin was raised in Electra, Texas by her mother Olive and stepfather Oral "Stitch" Watson. Gin graduated from Electra High School in 1945, her graduation gift, flying lessons, flying solo November 23, 1945.

She moved to Northern California and worked as a delineator for the State of California in 1959 and then settled in Grass Valley, California. In 1962 she began selling real estate and in 1965 became the first woman Real Estate Broker in Nevada County, owning Richardson Realty and later merging with Century 21 Davis.

Virginia moved to Sun City in 1999 and quickly became involved as a volunteer for the Prides and at Boswell Hospital and as an active member of the Lakeview Woodshop. It was in Sun City that she developed her love for golf.
From their early child hood, Virginia was instrumental in raising Truman Spillers (deceased) and Sally Bean (Sun City, AZ) and shared many fond memories and stories about their lives together.

Gin loved to travel especially in North America and in Australia, a country she visited 6 times and quickly became an integral part of the Bramham Family. Throughout her travels she pursued her passion for fishing. She loved RVing, travelling north to Inuvik and the Great Slave Lake, as far east as Newfoundland and Labrador and south to Mazatlán and Cabo San Lucas. She was a 21 year member of RVing Women (RVW) and one of the RVW's greatest ambassadors.
Gin will always be remembered by her friends for her positive, "I can do it" attitude, her honesty, dependability and ready advice and encouragement. She was extremely grateful for the help, love and support of all her friends during her final days with us.

Friends are invited to a Celebration of Gin's Life. An open house is planned at the home of Meg van Zyl, 11114 W. Jacaranda Drive, in Sun City, October 25, 2014 from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
