Leora, the daughter of Nels and Ethel Hansen, was born September 8, 1946, in Marshalltown. She grew up in Melbourne and graduated from high school in State Center. She then attended beauty school.

She was united in marriage with James Bogue on June 17, 1972, in Kellogg. Leora worked at the beauty shop in Kellogg, and later was a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading books, and going to the library. She also enjoyed watching old movies and doing puzzle books.

Those left to honor Leora’s memory include her husband, James Bogue of Kellogg; daughter, Kelly Bogue of Kellogg; and two brothers, George Hansen of Des Moines and Lyle Hansen of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Ginger, in infancy.
