WANDA PARSONS

Wanda Anderson Parsons, 72, of Whitefish Bay, Wis., formerly of the Kellogg area, died Sunday, Aug. 10, at Froedert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Wauwatosa, Wis., of injuries she sustained in an automobile accident.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday at Kellogg Christian Church, with the Rev. Mike Johnson officiating. Burial was in Our Silent City Cemetery, Kellogg, with the Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

She was born April 24, 1925, in Jasper County to Andrew and Maude Milligan Anderson. She was raised in the Kellogg area and graduated from Kellogg High School. She also was a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Nursing.

She was married to Robert D. Parsons, and the couple lived in Iowa City, Wauwatosa and Sigourney. They moved to Whitefish Bay in 1957, and she worked as a registered nurse at area hospitals.

She was a member of the Whitefish Bay United Methodist church.

Surviving are one son, Jerry of Milwaukee, Wis.; two daughters, Peggy Dunst of Grafton, Wis., and Vicki Young of Mondovi, Wis.; two grandchildren; one brother, Carroll "Shorty" Anderson of Kellogg; and two sisters, Juanita Ahrens of Grinnell and June Gregory of Altoona.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers, Simon and Wayne Anderson; and one sister, Elva Hulse.
