Stephen Minenga, 58, of Newton died on Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Skiff Medical Center.

The family will greet friends from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Wallace Family Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at Newton Union Cemetery. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News.

Stephen Minenga, 58, of Newton died on Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Skiff Medical Center. Stephen’s family will greet friends from 9:30-11 A.M., Thursday, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory followed by a graveside service at Newton Union Cemetery. Memorials in Stephen’s name may be left at the funeral home.

Stephen, the son of Carroll and Florence (Anderson) Minenga, was born on April 3, 1955 in Newton. He grew up in Reasnor and graduated from Monroe High School in 1974. Stephen was united in marriage with Demarco “DeDee” Caldwell on June 10, 1978 in Reasnor. They made their home in Newton. Stephen worked as a baker at Dahl’s, Tate’s, and King Bakery. He enjoyed woodcarving and gambling.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Demarco “DeDee” Minenga of Newton; son, Cody Minenga of Newton; grandchildren, Bam, Reagan, Mason, and Coby; and his siblings, Reggie Gray, Karla Deppe, Mike Minenga, and Gloria Jean Goeki. He was preceded in death by his parents.
