Jerry Logsdon, 90, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012. Funeral services wil be 11 a.m., Monday, September 10 at Berean ssembly of God Church in Pleasant Hill with burial and military honors at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m.

Jerry was born February 28, 1922 in Newton, IA to Floyd and Georgia Logsdon. He served in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1945 at a Radio Operator Tech. Jerry married Dorothy Garwick on September 14, 1943 and were married for 62 years until her passing in 2005.

Following his discharge from the military, he graduated from North Central Bible College (aka North Central University) in Minneapolis and began his career as an ordained minister for 25 years with Assembly of God churches.

Upon his retirement, he and Dorothy traveled to Key West, FL and Boca Chica. Jerry also was employed with Bethel Mission for ten years and retired from there in 1995. Jerry moved to and resided at The Shores in Pleasant Hill where he became their resident pastor.

Jerry was the Out Post Chaplain for the Royal Rangers which he enjoyed. He also loved all types of music, chocolate and will be remembered for his intelligence, sense of humor and his ability to stay technology current. He was often found texting and maintaining his facebook page. Jerry was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy and sister, Beulah Morch.

Jerry is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
