Vos, Amber Marie – 1981-2012

Amber Marie Vos, 30, of Lake City, died Saturday, April 14, 2012, from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident that day. She was born September 27, 1981 in Des Moines, Iowa, a daughter of Kathleen Cline Vos Potter of Lake City, Pa. and David M. Vos of Johnston, Iowa. Amber graduated from Newton High School in Newton, Iowa in 2000. While living there she worked for the Maytag Corp. She later moved to Lake City, where she began furthering her education at Gannon University, graduating from there Cum Laude in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She had worked several years for WQLN and most recently had been employed by Community Resources for Independence as a Personal Care Attendant. Amber loved her family and simply just being with them. She collected octopi, vintage dress and decor, and loved lightning storms and rain. Her favorite holiday was Halloween and was known to decorate "Ninja", "Sparta" and "Dolly". She also loved walking on the beach, flowers, and just being outside. She will be sadly missed by her family, which includes her mother, Kathleen R. Cline Vos Potter and husband, David, of Lake City; her father, David M. Vos and wife, Brenda, of Johnston, Iowa; her grandparents, Leland and Judy Roe of Ames, Iowa; Amber's fiancé, Mark A. Lago of East Springfield; a step sister, Stephanie M. Potter and her fiancé, Ronald Conley of Lake City; a step brother, Jason J. Potter and his fiancé, Kimberly Smith of Lake City; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Daniel R. Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. East, Girard. Services will be held there on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Memorials may be made to the ANNA Shelter, 1555 E. 10th St., Erie, PA 16511 or to the ASPCA, 424 E. 92nd St., NY, NY 10128.
