Services held Nov. 29Funeral services for Richard “Dick” L. Gulling, 61, a resident of Newton, were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, at Wallace –Pence Funeral Home.
The Rev. Bill Adams, associate pastor of the Community Heights Alliance Church, conducted services. Burial was in Newton Union Cemetery.
Memorials to a fund in his name will be accepted.
He died Monday Nov. 25 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Survivors are his wife, Donna; four sons, Doug, Dennis, David and Darin, all of Newton; daughter, Debbie Braaksma; six grandchildren; his mother, Evelyn Vessels of Des Moines; two sisters, Mary Kalapeck of Toledo and Carrol Kimry of Des Moines and a brother, Robert, of Colfax.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter, an infant son and a granddaughter.
He was born May 14, 1930 in Runnells and attended Colfax schools. ~ Newspaper unknown, possibly The Des Moines Register or The Newton (IA) Daily News.
