Baxter Man Found Dead

Henry Rethmeier, 83, of Baxter was found dead at his home Friday by neighbors. Mr. Rethmeier lived alone and neighbors failing to see him about investigated and found him laying on the floor dead.

He was a pioneer farmer of that community and leaves two sons and two daughters living on farms near Baxter. A coroner's inquest gave the verdict that his death was from natural causes. ~ Newspaper unknown, possibly The Des Moines Register or The Newton (IA) Daily News.
