Death of former Resident

Mrs. Robert Spence, 93, died Wednesday, January 4th at the New Haven rest Home in Des Moines, where she has resided the past three years.

Mrs. Spence is the former Belle Crawford, sister of Mrs. Elizabeth Lippincott of Colfax. She is a former resident and was employed at Hotel Colfax for many years.

In addition to her sister, Mrs. Lippincott, she is survived by a grandson, Carl Ahlgren of Aurora, N.Y., and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Walters Funeral Home in Colfax. Rev. Frank P. Hladky conducted the service.

Burial was in the Colfax Cemetery ~ Newspaper unknown, possibly The Des Moines Register or The Newton (IA) Daily News.
