Francis Tripp Passed Away

Francis Tripp, the sixteen year old son of Mr. and Mrs. D. Myron Tripp of Newton, passed away at 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 31st, 1924, at his home.

Francis had not been in good health for a number of years, his heart having left weak from scarlet fever when a lad.

Until five years ago the Tripp’s were residents of Colfax and Francis and the family have many friends here who will learn with sadness of his passing.

Besides his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. Myron Tripp and one brother, he is survived by many relatives both here and at Newton, who have sympathy of the community in this time of bereavement.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2:30 from the Christian Church at Newton. ~ Newspaper unknown, possibly The Des Moines Register or The Newton (IA) Daily News.
