Mrs. Anna Hummel Buried at Monroe Sunday

At Home of Her Daughter, Mrs.
Mabel Shaw of Colfax

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna M. Hummel, 81, were held at the Monroe Methodist Church Sunday afternoon with the Rev. E. L. Patterson officiating.

Mrs. Hummel spent most of her life on the farm and is the wife of the late George Hummel. They lived for many years between Prairie City and Monroe.

Mrs. Hummel was born August 13, 1859 and passed away February 14th, 1941, aged 81 years, 6 months and one day.

Mrs. Hummel is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Mabel Shaw of Colfax and a don Fred Hummel of Monroe.

Pall bearers were: William Fox, Robert Roush, Tommy Hummel, Edwin Hummel, Harold Martin and Ivan Buckley.

Interment was in the Monroe Cemetery ~ Newspaper not named but possibly the Des Moines Register, Des Moines, Iowa or The Newton (IA) Daily News.
