Clyde Pickering, Former Kellogg Resident, Dies

KELLOGG – Funeral and Masonic services for R. Clyde Pickering, 74, of Council Bluffs, a former longtime resident of Kellogg, were held Tuesday at the McCurdy Funeral Home in Council Bluffs.

Survivors are his wife, Thelma; two daughters, Mrs. William (Jane) Joslin of Council Bluffs and Mrs. Harry (Joyce) Swanson of Omaha, Neb.; seven grandchildren; a brother, Marvin Pickering of Kellogg; and a sister, Mrs. Jay Meyer of Newton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, two sisters and a half-brother.

The son of John and Jane Pickering, he was born Aug. 6, 1903 at Cooksville.
