Ronnett J. "Jody" Olson, age 51, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away at her home on September 4, 2013.

Jody was born March 9, 1962, in Omaha, Neb., to Ronald J. and Henrietta (Kildow) Brandel, Sr. She graduated Omaha South High School in 1980 and earned her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Marshalltown Community College. Jody was a cashier for Dollar General in Marshalltown. She married Dennis Olson on September 9, 1999, in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Jody is survived by her husband of 13 years, Dennis; sons, Nicholas Brown, both of Marshalltown, Craig (Alexis) Newman, of Newton, Iowa; grandchildren, Chance and Chase Brown, and Baby Newman; parents, Ronald and Henrietta Brandel, Sr., of Omaha; brother, Ron (Vicci) Brandel, of Normal, Ill.; sister, Ronda (James) Bernady, of Omaha; nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family Monday, 6 to 8 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel in Council Bluffs. Funeral service Tuesday, 11 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Council Bluffs. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Animal Rescue League.
