Misty Jo Long, 26, of Pleasant Hill left this world for the beautiful gates of Heaven on Friday, May 31, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Obituary

Misty Jo Long, age 26 of Pleasant Hill, left this world for the beautiful gates of Heaven on Friday, May 31, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. The daughter of Byron Long and Marquita (Miller) Long, Misty was born on August 24, 1986 in Des Moines. She was a graduate of Bondurant Farrar High School and Kirkwood College. Misty was a member of the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax. She left us way too soon and will be missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Grayson; fiancé, Matt; a sister, Brandi (Jeremy), a niece, Tiegan; father, Byron (Stephani); mother, Marquita (Jim), a step sister, Tammy (Jon) and their children Braxton, Preston, and Anna; a step brother, Jeff (Macie), grandparents, Layton and Norma and Carol as well as many other friends and family.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the Howard Street Christian Church with burial following at McKeever Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Monday, June 3, 2013, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the church.
